Description
Salary Information: Minimum for Academic Year 2026-2027, $2,053 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.
Other Conditions:
  • For lecturer applicant pool, part-time, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements.
  • Must be available to teach courses online and in person, either during the day, evening, or weekend.
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Teach assigned courses in English and First-Year Composition.
  2. Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
  3. Prepare course syllabi and participate in assessment initiatives related to teaching and student learning outcomes.
  4. Work under supervision of the Writing Program Administrator in integrating teaching efforts with other staff in the First-Year Composition, English, and WI programs.
  5. As needed, work with multimedia presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.
  6. Attend monthly professional development cohort meetings to discuss national and local best practices and programmatic curricular consistency.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Master's degree in relevant discipline.
  2. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. College teaching experience.
