Job Description

The position is located within the Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences. It is a full‑time Lecturer for the 2026-27 academic year, teaching six undergraduate psychology courses (three per semester). The lecturer will teach courses such as APSY 101 Introduction to Psychology and EPSY 224 Lifespan Development, primarily in person unless remote instruction is approved.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Teach three courses per semester, for a total of six courses during the academic year.
  • Participate in university, college, and department service activities as assigned.
Functional and Supervisory Relationships
  • Reports to: Department Chair
  • May supervise employees as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within a diverse campus community.
  • Demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging in the role.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. degree or terminal degree in psychology or a closely related field from an accredited institution by 8/21/2026.
  • Experience teaching at the college or university level.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching Introduction to Psychology and Lifespan Development.
  • Experience teaching nursing students.
