Job description

Concord Road Elementary School is seeking innovative and student-centered Elementary Leave Replacement teacher for an anticipated position in Grade 1 effective November through June, 2027.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB

The Elementary School Teacher will provide high-quality, engaging instruction to a diverse group of learners, fostering a safe and supportive classroom environment. The teacher will design and deliver lessons aligned to the New York State Learning Standards, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based literacy practices grounded in the science of reading. This role requires a commitment to meeting the needs of all students through differentiated instruction, collaboration with colleagues, and ongoing professional growth.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain a classroom environment that is safe, respectful, inclusive, and conducive to learning.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess standards-based lessons using evidence-based practices and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students Use data to inform instruction, monitor progress, and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success.
  • Collaborate regularly with grade-level colleagues, support staff, and families to enhance student learning.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to strengthen instructional practices and remain current in evidence based methods.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • New York State Childhood Certification 1-6
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to supporting equity, inclusion, and the academic success of all learners
