Job description

Makowsky Ringel Greenberg, LLC is currently accepting applications for a full-time Leasing Manager for The Westbury Apartments and Champion Hills at Windyke in Memphis, Tennessee.

This position manages the leasing function for two neighboring apartment communities located near each other in southeast Memphis. The Leasing Manager will be responsible for leasing apartments, managing prospect follow-up, coordinating tours, supporting resident relations and retention, and helping both properties maintain strong occupancy.

Please note that this position works Tuesday through Saturday, with one Saturday off per month.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced leasing professional who is ready for a more senior role with additional responsibility, leadership, and earning potential.

Compensation

About the Role

Each property has its own Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager. The Leasing Manager does not replace the Property Managers’ authority over their individual properties. Instead, this position manages the leasing function for the two-property campus and works closely with both property teams.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, professional, organized, and experienced in apartment leasing. This person should enjoy working with prospects and residents, helping maintain occupancy, and taking ownership of the leasing process.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lease apartments at The Westbury and Champion Hills at Windyke
  • Promote a positive image of both apartment communities
  • Respond promptly to leads, calls, emails, texts, and walk-in prospects
  • Conduct apartment and community tours
  • Follow up with prospects, applicants, and pending move-ins
  • Help prospects compare the two communities and select the best apartment home for their needs
  • Monitor leasing activity, applications, approvals, cancellations, and scheduled move-ins
  • Coordinate leasing priorities with the Property Managers and Assistant Property Managers at both properties
  • Provide day-to-day leasing direction and support to the Leasing Consultant assigned to the two-property campus
  • Assist with resident relations and resident retention
  • Support renewals, move-ins, leasing paperwork, and administrative responsibilities
  • Help maintain accurate leasing records and application files
  • Communicate professionally with residents, prospects, vendors, and team members
  • Help coordinate Saturday leasing coverage for both properties

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of apartment leasing experience required
  • Prior senior leasing, leasing manager, assistant manager, or multi-site leasing experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Strong follow-up, organization, and sales skills
  • Ability to provide direction and support to another leasing employee
  • Ability to work well with Property Managers, Assistant Property Managers, maintenance staff, residents, and prospects
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Mathematical reasoning skills
