Job description

Overview

To consult with Navy Federal's leaders and business partners to identify critical learning gaps, understand desired behavioral outcomes, and recommend the best learning solution to support business unit objectives and enterprise-wide initiatives aligned with Navy Federal's University learning model and enterprise strategy. Collaborate enterprise-wide with operational and learning community partners to understand organizational / department learning needs and support the development of strategy-focused learning. Partner with talent development, the enterprise learning community and subject matter experts to curate, validate, and develop content and learning resources, tools, and self-directed content to support enterprise strategy and goals. Measure effectiveness of learning solutions and programs. Serve as learning subject matter expert to provide knowledge of design programs, principles, development standards, techniques, and methodologies and apply each, ensuring a positive learner/customer experience and alignment with Navy Federal's overall strategy and culture.
Responsibilities
  • Consult and collaborate with business leaders to identify learning needs, expectations for change, and updates or enhancements to existing training plans. Conduct analysis on requests, recommend learning and behavioral strategies, and curate or create content as needed to support business objectives in alignment with Navy Federal's strategy.
  • Consult on and act as a knowledgeable resource for professional and talent development learning to directly support business units' alignment with enterprise learning strategy and needs
  • Develop learning strategies, tactics, and solutions and then design, develop, or curate learning content for professional development and employee upskilling programs
  • Support the facilitation of learning sessions as needed for professional development, employee upskilling, and other topics to support both enterprise and business unit objectives
  • Use quantitative and qualitative methods and metrics to measure, evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of training programs and/or immersive learning plans to ensure objectives are achieved
  • Use various instructional design tools and generative strategies to develop courses, reference materials, graphics, A/V assets, support tools and leader resources that reinforce strategic learning
  • Mentor less experienced team members and support leaders in setting performance standards and identifying potential skill gaps related to expectations
  • Act as a liaison between the Enterprise Learning team, Talent Development team (when appropriate), and HR Business Partners providing swift and thorough transitions for customers and business partners
  • Remain current with industry best practices for learning enhancement, development skills, product and program enhancement, data tracking, and AI design strategies
  • Participate in large-scale and/or cross-Department/Division projects and programs
  • Collaborate with and provide support for Sr Learning Solutions Architects and Program Managers in working with HR/L&TD's Vendor Partnership team
  • Hybrid/Partial telework environment across multiple work locations (Determined by Business Unit Leader)
  • The scope and focus of work for Learning Solutions Architects in L&TD (HR) are aligned at the enterprise level. Learning Solutions Architects operating outside of the HR division, will have a scope and focus that is more directly aligned to the business unit/department level needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Significant experience in one or more of the following: program management and evaluation, learning science, communications, instructional design, and organizational development and/or extensive experience designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training
  • Extensive experience developing content and supporting materials for high-visibility synchronous and asynchronous learning and/or facilitation for individuals and groups
  • Willingness to learn, use a growth mindset and combine theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on application
  • Experience conducting needs assessment and analysis for large-scale learning solutions
  • Experience evaluating post-operationalization metrics to map trends and assess the impact/ROI of training efforts
  • Experience in working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects
  • Expert knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, educational theory, and related tools and resources
  • Experience successfully influencing, leading and/or guiding others towards goals and positioning learning solutions as components of a larger behavioral business strategy
  • Experience in organizational, planning, and project management skills and knowledge
  • Demonstrated skill in effectively building relationships with and influencing team members, management, vendors, and a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated skill in compiling, organizing and presenting findings and conclusions clearly and concisely to stakeholders and management
  • Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong skill communicating with all levels within an organization
  • Strong skill in building strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership
  • Advanced skill interacting tactfully and effectively in difficult situations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to include speaking and/or presenting in front of groups in a professional setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Human Resources, business, communication, behavioral sciences, Program Management or related field or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience
