Job description

Teacher Wanted! GradePower Learning Homeschool Day Academy in Largo

The perfect part-time position!

Day Academy at GradePower Learning Largo is a homeschool support program for students in K-12th grade.

We need passionate, energetic instructors who enjoys making a difference in the lives of students without the headaches of the traditional school system. Students work on their own personalized program, at their own pace. Because of this hands on and customized approach, you know you are helping them make the gains they likely wouldn't be able to make in a traditional learning environment.

All parent contact is done by Day Academy coordinators, so all you have to do is teach. Our curriculum is proprietary, and there is limited planning and no grading required.

Schedule: Mondays - Fridays, 9:15 am - 1:15 pm. Additional hours are available in our after school tutoring program.

This is an in-person position. Relocation packages are not available. Background checks are mandatory.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree is required.

Requirements:

Classroom and/or FLVS experience is not required, but preferred.

Experience teaching/tutoring middle school or high school students an asset

Responsibilities (Position Details):

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

  • Teaching up to 6 students at a time at different levels
  • Following the GradePower Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
