Product Manager, Core Processing Platform
Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a hybrid Product Manager/Scrum Master to support a backend services team. This role is responsible for maximizing product value for backend services of credit card products, owning and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring alignment to business strategy, and driving efficient, value-focused delivery. This position serves as a bridge between business, operations, and technology, partnering with analysts, operations teams, and engineering to optimize delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a hybrid Product Owner, Product Manager, and Scrum Master for a backend engineering team.
  • Own, manage, and refine the product backlog to align with strategic objectives and business outcomes.
  • Write, groom, and prioritize clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and coordinate delivery across engineering teams, serving as the team's Scrum Master.
  • Partner closely with developers on prioritization and to remove blockers and optimize workflow.
  • Ensure alignment between business intent and technical execution, acting as a connector across strategy, operations, and engineering.
  • Forecast workstreams and manage course corrections as needed.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
  • Experience functioning as a hybrid Product Owner, Product Manager, and Scrum Master.
  • Experience with modern backend services, APIs, and platform-based products.
  • Proven ability in backlog management, user story creation, and facilitating Agile processes.
  • Comfortable working directly with developers in a fast-paced Agile environment without a dedicated Scrum Master.

Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Solid technical and analytical aptitude.
  • Ability to conduct cross-functional coordination and timeline tracking.
  • Proficiency with Mainframe, Teams, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Credit Card or Payments industry.
  • Familiarity with process mapping, workflow diagramming, and operational flows.
  • Experience with Change Management and governance processes.
  • Familiarity with Jira plugins such as Dragonboat.
  • Background supporting Java-based application environments.
