Reporting to the Senior Manager of Global Learning, the Learning & Development Specialist is a core member of the Talent Centre of Excellence (COE) at Celestica dedicated to supporting employee development and growth across all regions. The role focuses on learning program design, development and implementation, program coordination, and enhancement of global talent development programs and initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to translate business needs into high-impact learning interventions and training assets, while gaining in-depth knowledge and experience in people and culture strategies for globally diverse client groups. 

Detailed Description

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Global Learning, but will also support and receive direction from the other leaders on the HR COE team.  This position is also accountable for working collaboratively with HR business partners (HRBPs) and business leaders globally on key initiatives including but not limited to the following:

Learning Strategy & Program Design

  • Support the Senior Manager, Global Learning in the development and implementation of global learning and other people programs and practices to drive employee engagement and growth, employee capability building and strengthen leadership skills aligned to business initiatives and goals
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of large-scale formal training programs across all business functions.  Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to map out complex curriculum paths, narrative scripts, and storyboards. 
  • Translate business requirements and learning objectives into engaging, high-quality, multi-approach blended learning solutions including instructor-led sessions, e-learning, interactive digital assets, simulations, and video content. 
  • Leverage feedback and data from learning programs and initiatives to measure and report on program effectiveness and make continuous enhancements.

Collaborative Partnership & Global Support

  • Work with other leaders in the COE to gather needs and requirements, recommend learning solutions and enhance programs to build functional and technical skills, drive hi-potential development, and support performance enablement and change initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with site leaders, HRBPs, and the communications team to develop communication plans and employee messaging to support the rollout of global or regional learning programs. 
  • Conduct internal and external research, present best practices and solutions to actively support client needs 
  • Work with HRIS team to build and validate learning data and end-user reports, ensuring alignment to business requirements/needs.

Program Management & Operations

  • Manage activities for new and existing programs including scheduling, logistics, deployment of program materials, feedback gathering, and partnering with the HRIS team to maintain the learning program library. 
  • Perform detailed review on all training ad support materials to ensure they align with corporate brand standards and pedagogical best practices.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • Proven experience using eLearning authoring and multimedia tools (i.e iSpring, Articulate 360, Camstasia Vyond) to build interactive digital content from established business requirements.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (with advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Workspace (Sites, Forms, Sheets); experience with an HRIS such as Success Factors is an asset.
  • Adept at using generative AI tools (Google Gemini) to accelerate content creation, and streamline administrative workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering accurate, high-quality work; ensures all learning content and data reports are at the highest standard of quality.
  • Solution oriented: strong analytical skills and ability to problem-solve, convert needs, business requirements and into actionable learning plans and/or solutions/interventions
  • Excellent written / verbal communication (English), strong presentation and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a diverse, fast-paced environment 
  • Project management skills: establish and implement project plans for L&D projects and track against milestones 
  • Requires flexible hours for attendance on conference calls outside of regular business hours during peak implementation periods
Salary

The stated range includes Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive (STI) compensation only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.
The range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including but not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate.

Salary range: $ 89,400-124,800 CAD.
