Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Manager, Learning Technology & Innovation to lead the evolution of our learning technology ecosystem and shape how technology transforms learning across the enterprise.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent Development, this leader will define and execute the technology and innovation strategy that powers Talent Development. Partnering across Leadership Development, Learning Experience Design, Human-Centered Design, Onboarding, Talent Development Operations, and Talent Development Business Partners, this role will design, scale, and continuously improve technology-enabled learning solutions that accelerate capability building across Autodesk. This leader will also serve as a strategic partner to Employee Success Enablement (ESE), People Insights & Solution Design (PISD), Digital Employee Experience, IT, and external technology partners to optimize learning operations, strengthen learning analytics, and create personalized, data-informed learning experiences embedded into the flow of work.
As Autodesk continues building an AI-native organization, this role will champion the responsible application of AI and emerging technologies across Talent Development, elevate the organization's technology capabilities, and partner across the enterprise to shape the future of work through innovative learning experiences that improve human performance.
This role requires a unique combination of strategic thinking, learning science, product management, AI fluency, technical acumen, change leadership, and curiosity. The ideal candidate is passionate about emerging technologies, understands the rapidly evolving learning technology landscape, and thrives on experimenting, prototyping, and scaling innovative solutions that transform how people learn, grow, and perform.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute Autodesk's Talent Development technology and innovation strategy aligned with business priorities and the future of work
  • Define the vision and roadmap for a modern, AI-enabled learning ecosystem that supports enterprise learning, performance, knowledge sharing, and continuous capability development
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and vendor solutions, translating innovation into scalable business value
  • Establish governance, standards, and best practices that enable secure, effective, and responsible use of learning technologies
  • Lead Autodesk's AI strategy for Talent Development by identifying opportunities to leverage Generative AI, intelligent automation, copilots, AI agents, and emerging technologies across the learning lifecycle
  • Drive rapid experimentation, prototyping, testing, and scaling of AI-enabled learning experiences
  • Develop repeatable frameworks and governance for integrating AI into learning design, content development, coaching, personalization, measurement, and operations
  • Partner with enterprise AI initiatives to help shape Autodesk's AI-native workforce strategy
  • Lead Autodesk's learning personalization strategy, creating experiences tailored to employees' roles, skills, career aspirations, and business priorities
  • Bring learning into the flow of work through AI-powered recommendations, digital learning experiences, performance support, communities, coaching, and embedded guidance
  • Partner across Talent Development Centers of Excellence to integrate technology into Leadership Development, Learning Experience Design, Human-Centered Design, Onboarding, and capability-building initiatives
  • Ensure learning experiences are modern, intuitive, scalable, and measurable
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, governance, optimization, and adoption of Autodesk's learning technology ecosystem, including LMS, LXP, AI-enabled learning platforms, content technologies, learning experience tools, and future digital learning capabilities
  • Partner closely with Employee Success Enablement (ESE) to continuously improve learning operations, platform performance, learner experience, integrations, and operational excellence
  • Evaluate and recommend future investments that strengthen Autodesk's digital learning ecosystem
  • Partner with People Insights & Solution Design (PISD) to strengthen learning analytics, experimentation, reporting, and measurement
  • Establish meaningful dashboards and success metrics that connect learning investments to capability development, employee growth, business outcomes, and organizational performance
  • Leverage data to continuously improve learner experiences, platform adoption, and program effectiveness
  • Elevate the digital, AI, and technology capabilities of the Talent Development organization
  • Coach, train, and enable instructional designers, facilitators, learning consultants, program managers, and business partners to confidently leverage AI and learning technologies in their work
  • Develop standards, playbooks, prompt libraries, templates, and best practices that improve quality, efficiency, innovation, and scalability across the Talent Development portfolio
  • Apply product management principles, agile methodologies, and human-centered design to learning experiences
  • Lead rapid experimentation, user research, prototyping, and continuous iteration to deliver solutions that improve employee performance and business impact
  • Build and manage an innovation portfolio, evaluating opportunities, scaling successful pilots, and retiring low-value solutions
  • Represent Talent Development in enterprise discussions related to AI, workforce transformation, digital employee experience, and organizational capability
  • Partner across Autodesk to shape an AI-native organization where learning, technology, and human performance are deeply integrated
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Talent Development leadership on innovation, learning technology, and future workforce trends

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Learning Technologies, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • 8-12+ years leading learning technology, digital learning, learning innovation, product management, or learning experience design within a global technology organization
  • Deep expertise across modern learning ecosystems, including LMS/LXP, AI-enabled learning platforms, learning analytics, skills technologies, enterprise collaboration platforms, and digital learning tools
  • Demonstrated experience applying Generative AI and emerging technologies to learning, knowledge management, productivity, or employee experience
  • Strong understanding of learning science, instructional design, adult learning, and performance consulting
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving HR, IT, Operations, Analytics, Digital Experience, and business stakeholders
  • Proven ability to develop technology strategies, roadmaps, governance models, and measurable business outcomes
  • Exceptional communication, executive presence, stakeholder management, and influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within a global SaaS or technology company
  • Experience managing enterprise learning platforms such as Docebo, Cornerstone, Degreed, Absorb, or similar ecosystems
  • Familiarity with AI copilots, LLMs, intelligent agents, learning analytics platforms, xAPI/LRS, skills taxonomies, and personalization engines
  • Experience leading organizational AI adoption or digital transformation initiatives

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $116,000 and $208,120. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
