Job description

About the Role
As a Network Engineer, you will work as part of a small, agile team to maintain, secure, and optimize our complex network infrastructure. You will collaborate with IT, DevOps, and security teams to ensure our systems remain reliable, performant, and compliant with industry standards. As a Network Engineer, you will also contribute to a variety of areas including:

  • Maintaining, upgrading, configuring, and securing network equipment and software.
  • Ensuring compliance with security guidelines (SOC2, STIG, NIST, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting connectivity and bandwidth issues.
  • Documenting network configurations, processes, and changes and participate in crosstraining.
  • Coordinating with the IT team on infrastructure initiatives.
  • Participating in establishing and enforcing security compliance policies.
  • Performing after-hours maintenance and support when required.

About You

You're a good fit for the role of Network Engineer if you have/are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of network engineering experience.
  • Industry certifications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and the OSI model.
  • Experience with AWS networking (Transit Gateway, VPCs, Route53).
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • GitHub experience.
  • Cisco networking platforms (Nexus NXOS, Catalyst IOS).
  • Cisco and Palo Alto firewall platforms (Firepower FTD/FMC, PANOS).
  • VMware vSphere networking (distributed switches).
  • Networking for containerized environments.
  • Wireless networking (WiFi design, security, troubleshooting).
  • High availability networking (LACP).
  • IPsec sitetosite VPNs with IKEv2 across different vendors.
  • Remote VPN and SDP solutions (ZTNA).
  • Network and performance monitoring.
  • Network OS patching, updates, hardening.
  • Linux, Apache, Tomcat administration.
  • Scripting (PowerShell, Linux shell).
  • Understanding of programming concepts to support DevOps teams.
  • System monitoring tools (Nagios, Splunk).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. National Security Clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship essential to comply with government contract/agency or department of Federal Government requirements

The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $76,000 USD - $141,000 USD. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $65,700 USD - $122,100 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
