Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated learning & development manager to join our team in Parsippany, NJ! The Manager of Learning & Development plays a crucial leadership role in delivering and enhancing our training experience for both internal employees and for our clients. The head of this team will collaborate with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and external partners to create training solutions that enhance employee performance, drive business results, and contribute to the companyโ€™s long-term success in the automotive sector. The director will oversee all L&D operations, design, implementation, continuous process improvement, and partner with the Executive Team to accomplish business objectives.



Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the design, implementation, and evaluation of all learning and development initiatives across the organization.
  • Lead the development and execution of the companyโ€™s learning and development strategy in alignment with overall business objectives and industry trends
  • Design, develop, and implement innovative LMS programs, including topics on product knowledge, industry insights, and compliance training specific to the automotive industry.
  • Ensure programs are scalable and can be adapted to various learning styles.
  • Create clear metrics for measuring the effectiveness of L&D programs, ensuring they lead to measurable performance improvements and enhanced engagement.
  • Manage and mentor a team of learning and development professionals, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and resources needed to succeed.
  • Develop a comprehensive onboarding training program for new hires and ensure they are equipped with the necessary industry knowledge and skills.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to ensure the companyโ€™s training programs are competitive and cutting-edge.
  • Manage the companyโ€™s finance and insurance certification program for partnered dealerships.
  • Continuously assess and improve learning programs, ensuring alignment with emerging business needs and changes in the automotive industry.
  • Ensure all learning initiatives comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Partner with HR functions to ensure a seamless employee experience.
  • Perform personal continuous education and training to become a subject matter expert in F&I and automotive, to stay up to date with industry knowledge and deliver a first-class training experience.
  • Execute training presentations and learning sessions directly to employees and leadership team members.
  • Collaborate with leadership on business needs and continuous improvement of the learning and development department and services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned at the discretion of management.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 7-10+ years' experience as an L&D Manager, Director or related role.
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Business, Instructional Design, HR, or related field.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing effective LMS modules.
  • Experience delivering captivating training presentations.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and management capabilities.
  • Must be technologically advanced with proficiency in Microsoft Office and LMS tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Must be client-focused and passionate about delivering a superior training experience
  • Automotive/F&I or insurance industry highly preferred
  • Experience building internal relationships and working across a highly matrixed organization.
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to meet crucial deadlines.
