Job description

Discovery Kidzone is seeking a Full-Time Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team beginning August 24. We are looking for an experienced educator who is passionate about guiding toddlers through their early years in a nurturing, engaging, and play-based learning environment.


The ideal candidate is a confident classroom leader who enjoys building strong relationships with children, families, and fellow educators while creating meaningful learning experiences each day.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans for toddlers
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment
  • Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Foster independence, confidence, and positive peer interactions
  • Supervise daily routines including meals, naps, toileting, and transitions
  • Observe, document, and communicate children's progress with families
  • Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding daily activities and developmental milestones
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and state licensing requirements
  • Mentor and collaborate with Assistant Teachers to maintain a positive classroom culture
  • Keep the classroom organized, clean, and prepared for daily learning


Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a lead teacher or in an early childhood education setting is required
  • Experience working with toddlers is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate teaching practices
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Patient, dependable, and professional demeanor
  • CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to complete all required state licensing trainings and background requirements
  • Start Date: August 24
