Regional Pharmacist Trainer - Long-Term Care (LTC) Pharmacy
Our Company:

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Regional Pharmacist Trainer to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in developing, mentoring, and supporting pharmacists across multiple Long-Term Care pharmacy locations. The Regional Pharmacist Trainer will lead pharmacist onboarding, deliver ongoing education, standardize workflows, and collaborate with leadership to ensure consistent, high-quality pharmacy operations. This role is ideal for an experienced LTC pharmacist who is passionate about education, leadership, and helping others succeed.
Location: Ohio (Regional coverage across multiple LTC pharmacies and client facilities)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Flexibility required for occasional evening or weekend training)
Travel: Approximately 40-60% regional travel (Mileage reimbursement and travel expenses provided)
Responsibilities:
  • Lead onboarding and orientation programs for newly hired pharmacists.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to pharmacists throughout the region.
  • Develop and facilitate training sessions, educational materials, and competency assessments.
  • Partner with pharmacy leadership to identify training needs and implement development plans.
  • Standardize pharmacy workflows and best practices across multiple locations.
  • Train pharmacists on FrameworkLTC, FrameworkECM, DocuTrack, and other pharmacy technology platforms.
  • Support implementation of new pharmacy processes, technologies, and operational initiatives.
  • Assist with onboarding newly acquired facilities and ensure successful operational transitions.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, compliance, and patient-centered care.
  • Monitor pharmacist performance and identify opportunities for additional coaching or retraining.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, and department leaders to ensure training aligns with company standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training initiatives through onboarding success, workflow improvements, compliance metrics, and quality outcomes.
  • Stay current on Long-Term Care pharmacy regulations, industry best practices, and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license required.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain pharmacist licensure in Kentucky, Virginia, Illinois, and Indiana as business needs require.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of Long-Term Care pharmacy experience.
  • Previous experience training, mentoring, precepting, or educating pharmacy staff preferred.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with FrameworkLTC, FrameworkECM, DocuTrack, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple training initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40-60% throughout the assigned region.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP).
  • Completion of Long-Term Care-focused continuing education programs.
  • Experience developing pharmacy training programs, educational materials, and workflow standardization initiatives.
  • Experience supporting pharmacy operations during acquisitions, new facility onboarding, or organizational growth.
