FAST Labs™ succeeds through teams who collaborate to mature and deliver leading edge technologies to internal and external customers. We welcome all those who have big ideas, crave innovation, want to drive technology maturation velocity, and have the passion to bring the warfighter home safely. We are innovating for the future. And you can, too. Our flexible work environment provides you a chance to change the world without giving up your personal life. We put our customers first - exemplified by our mission: "We Protect Those Who Protect Us®." Sound like a team you want to be a part of? Come build your career with BAE Systems.
We are looking for a Program Manager for the Autonomy, Processing & Exploitation (APEX) product line within FAST Labs. APEX research spans technology thrusts from sensor processing (including communications, position, navigation, and timing, and signal exploitation), through knowledge generation and sense-making, up to tactical and operational level autonomy and decision support for manned, unmanned, and teamed mission applications. Our research drives advances in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and statistical signal processing, pushing the boundaries of what is possible through advanced system prototypes and capability demonstrations. We seek to expand and advance our capabilities into full-spectrum, all-domain, all-participant, multi-time-scale applications.
As a Program Manager, you will support programs for the FAST Labs™ business area headquartered in Merrimack, NH where our primary customers are DARPA and other government labs. This position requires a program manager who is motivated by hard problems, has the ability to comfortably operate in and through ambiguity, and understands how to use their technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary programs from start to finish. FAST Labs™ program managers need to be able to work well with geographically diverse program teams and relevant stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks/opportunities, and develop/manage the program scheduled. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate equally well with: customers, end users, Sr. management, technical teams, and program functional support (finance, contracts, security).
Key aspects of this role:
  • Utilize your technical experience to lead multi-disciplinary program teams

  • Demonstrates:
    • Ability to lead with authority and make informed decision to guide programs to meet objectives.
    • Strong communication skills both internal and customer facing
    • Strong leadership in ethics, safety and security.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
