What You'll Do
We are seeking a talented and motivated professional to join our Learning & Development team as a Firmwide Learning & Development Coordinator. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, exceptional time management, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating end-to-end execution, including scheduling, participant and instructor communications, materials distribution, and evaluations, for high-impact attorney learning initiatives, including local training programs, Kirkland University, Kirkland Litigation University, Executive Skills Training, attorney orientation programs, the Kirkland Summer Program, New Associate Orientation, and internal Learning & Development team meetings.
  • Supporting data collection projects across Learning & Development and reporting on initiative participation, feedback, and outcomes.
  • Maintaining project tracking systems, shared calendars, email distribution lists, and internal knowledge repositories used across Learning & Development.
  • Collaborating with the Human Resources Delivery team to provide on-the-ground support for learning initiatives.
  • Liaising with CLE Compliance to coordinate and align CLE processes as needed for attorney training programs.
  • Exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality on sensitive and strategic matters while balancing and managing multiple stakeholder requests across the Learning & Development function.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate, streamline, or eliminate manual work, including the use of AI and automation tools, with the goal of increasing focus on strategic Talent initiatives.
  • Continuously developing individual and team skillsets as tools and capabilities evolve, with a focus on improving how work is performed as well as successfully delivering results.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize competing requests, and deliver programs efficiently.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS), collaboration platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to work.
  • Strong project and time management skills with a consistent track record of meeting deadlines.
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to support team priorities as needed.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to maintain professionalism while handling changing priorities and urgent requests.

Compensation
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in each of the below locations. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary.
