Reports to: Funshine Coordinator Part-time

Supervises: None

Non-Exempt/Non-Benefitted

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Funshine Early Learning Aide serves under the general supervision of the Funshine Early Learning Center Coordinator and works alongside teachers to provide a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for preschool-aged children. We are currently hiring for our morning classes, Tuesdays/Thursdays from 9:00 AM–12:30 PM with the option of subbing other classes at different dasy/times.

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

  • Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities.
  • Supervise and interact with children in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom.
  • Support children's social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Follow all safety and center policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds when required.
  • Good public relations skills and customer service skills.
  • Be able to work with children and their families.
  • Ability to work with all ages.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the public.
