Job Description
Sevenstar does not employ instructors. Instead, we contract with certified instructors to facilitate our courses as independent contractors. Our instructors provide academic support to students in their online courses while promoting student persistence and course completion by monitoring student progress, nurturing student learning and relationships, and employing strategies that foster engagement and mastery of course content.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely grading of assignments and responses to student communications.
  • Give constructive feedback on learning activities that promote students' mastery of content.
  • Monitor student progress in course to encourage appropriate pacing and engagement.
  • Identify struggling students early and assist with student retention efforts through an at-risk intervention program.
  • Maintain efficient record keeping procedures in learning management and student information systems.
  • Actively participate in professional development activities and carry out best practices for online instruction with Sevenstar course facilitation model.
  • Collaborate with instructional team to review student progress data to promote student achievement, individualize student learning, and increase course completion rates.
Spiritual Duties:
  • Grow in his/her own relationship with the Lord.
  • Lead prayer with our instructors, schools, parents, and staff.
  • Share spiritual testimonies.
  • Support a Christian-based company vision and mission.

Requirements
  • Mature Christian faith.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid professional educator's licensure or certification in area of content.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of teaching in specified course applying for.
  • Ability to collect, track, and analyze significant amounts of data.
  • Knowledgeable of student information systems and learning management systems.
  • Knowledgeable of online teaching and learning practices.
  • Demonstrated success working with students, parents, and school administrators in a service oriented environment.
