About the Role:
As Associate Director for Functional Learning & Engagement (FLE), you play a pivotal role in shaping scalable learning and engagement solutions across Global Development Operations (GDO). Your work directly supports BioNTech's mission by enhancing readiness, compliance, and sustained performance in a highly regulated environment. In collaboration with Global Development Operations (GDO) and R&D Program Management, you will bridge strategy and execution to enable impactful organizational training management and learning development.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will influence training frameworks, processes, and functional approaches aligned with industry standards and internal priorities. Your Contribution:
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of training management, onboarding, capability-building, and engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage GxP and non-GxP training programs aligned with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess training needs, address capability gaps, and implement innovative learning solutions using modern technologies.
  • Oversee training governance activities ensuring compliance with systems like eQMS while monitoring metrics for actionable improvements.
  • Drive harmonization of learning processes, content standardization, and learner experiences across functions.
  • Advance digital learning approaches that enhance accessibility, engagement, and user experience while fostering collaboration across teams.

A Good Match:
  • University degree in business, science, or healthcare-related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Substantial experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry or comparable regulated environments.
  • Expertise in Training Management (GxP/non-GxP), Learning & Development, Communications, Change Management; familiarity with instructional design tools like Articulate 360 preferred.
  • Proven track record in executing training initiatives that drive engagement and community belonging within mid-size pharma companies.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills coupled with strategic thinking to translate objectives into actionable plans.
  • Proficiency in LMS/QMS platforms (e.g., Veeva Quality) with knowledge of leveraging AI for enhanced learning solutions.

Your benefits and remuneration:
If the position is filled in the US, the Expected Pay Range is $146,300/year to $234,100/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
