JOB TITLE: 

Office Aide-CEPS Career Services 

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION: 

CEPS Career Services Office supports the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences students by providing career readiness and development resources, experiential learning opportunities, employer connections, and professional preparation services that empower students to successfully transition from college to career.

Job location: Engineering Building 2079

Pay rate or range: $11.00 per hour

JOB PURPOSE: 

Support the CEPS Career Services Office by assisting with daily office operations, student engagement initiatives, data management, event preparation, and career development programming that enhances student success and career readiness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Scan, organize, upload, and maintain electronic documents and records in office databases and filing systems.
  • File, organize, and retrieve office documents as needed.
  • Assist the Office Associate with front desk operations by greeting students, employers, faculty, staff, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Provide general administrative support for Career Services Office programs, events, and daily operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

High School diploma or equivalent 

No prior experience is required. The CEPS Career Services Office will provide training for all job responsibilities and office procedures. Candidates should be dependable, professional, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
