Family F.O.C.U.S. is a local non-profit, state-funded, Early Childhood Education program that strives to offer quality care to children and families in Tulare and Kings County. The FOCUS in Family F.O.C.U.S. is an acronym. The F stands for Fundamental, O for Opportunities, C for Children's, U for Unlimited, and S for Success. Children are among the most vulnerable of any community, and families often must find employment outside of the home, thus requiring them to seek childcare. Job Summary
This position can help fulfill your passion for working with children and families, serving in the classroom daily!
~ Opportunities to greet children, families, and staff daily!
~ Ensure daily schedules and routines are followed in assigned classroom.
~ Assist children with toileting and diapering needs as necessary, and other needs as required by each child.
~ Follow all health and safety measures and regulations enforced by Title 22
~ Ensure Title 5 requirements are met and maintained.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Option # 1
• 12units ECE/CD including core courses;
• 50 days of 3+ hours per day experience within 2 years
Option # 2
• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
• Must be earned in California
Authorizes the holder to provide service in the care, development and instruction of children in a childcare and development program; and supervise an Aide or Assistant Permit holders.
