About the Role

Clever Bee Academy is seeking a dedicated, nurturing Lead Teacher to create engaging learning experiences and maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment. This role includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus and is a great opportunity for an early childhood professional who values consistency, growth, and meaningful work.

As a Lead Teacher, you'll lead day-to-day classroom activities, support assistant teachers, and partner with families to help children thrive from infancy through school-age.

What You'll Do
  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants through school-age children
  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
  • Lead and support assistant teachers and classroom aides
  • Observe, document, and maintain accurate records of each child's progress and development
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with families and center staff
  • Use strong organization, time management, and child development knowledge to support daily classroom operations
Required Qualifications
  • 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
  • Ohio Career Pathways Level III or Child Development Associate (CDA) certification upon hire
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
