Job description

SEP has an immediate opening for an experienced Azure solution architect. This position gets involved in our early discussions with clients looking to understand what solutions may be appropriate to the problems they've asked us to solve, provides guidance to our teams during development, and reviews existing architectures for improvement.
 
This is a client-facing consulting role responsible for leading technical discovery and solution discussions with our clients working with a wide variety of client stakeholders in IT, engineering, and marketing, as well as our client's executive leaders.

What you'll be doing
  • Consult on and lead architectural activities on new and existing software systems
  • Support sales meetings with your architectural expertise
  • Quickly build trust with our clients
  • Develop architectural prototypes to validate candidate solutions
  • Occasional travel for meetings with clients
  • Mentor software engineers both within and external to your team
  • Work on projects in a wide variety of domains: life science, medical, aerospace, finance, heavy machinery (did we mention we have a lot of variety!?)
  • Build and deliver great software while maintaining a clear understanding and vision of the client's needs
  • Guide team members towards effective solutions during all stages of the project
  • Develop, present, and defend solution recommendations to client technical and business stakeholders
  • Maintain project momentum through timely communication and problem solving with all stakeholders
  • Keep up to date in your knowledge of Azure platform tools as new tools are released and existing tools are revised
  • Deepen engineering expertise and technical capacity of team members through constructive feedback
