Job description

Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB's Civil Engineering Internship is designed to introduce students into the workforce. The program will build essential professional skills by offering opportunities for hands-on learning in a supportive yet challenging environment. The intern program is designed to round out participants' academic learning with real world experience and help them explore related areas of practice to find the best fit for their career path. This will be a part-time, paid internship through the fall semester in VHB's Manasquan, NJ office.

VHB has a specialized practice in Land Development out of the Manasquan Office.  This practice involves, site feasibility review and determination, topography and boundary surveys, drainage design and computations, grading, site layout, etc.  Our LD team works with numerous outside consultants including but not limited to environmental, traffic engineers, archeological and geotechnical consultants.  The NJ LD teams takes this information along with our engineering due diligence and studies to prepare an initial concept and layout for a potential site.  This process works for residential, industrial, commercial and alike.  The NJ LD team provides our clients with all phases of Land Development to help bring their projects to fruition.

  • An interest in career path in Civil Engineering; strong interest in transportation, land development, urban design, real estate, environmental, institutional, or energy sector
