Job Description

The Principal Learning and Development Partner serve as a strategic business partner, driving organizational performance and competitive advantage through targeted talent development initiatives. This role partners directly with senior business leaders to translate strategic objectives into comprehensive learning solutions that accelerate business results. As a trusted advisor, this role shapes organizational capability, fosters innovation, and builds a learning culture that enables WD Corporation to achieve its strategic goals. This role will focus on AI learning and adoption of WD AI Tools.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with executive leadership and business unit heads to align learning strategy with business priorities and organizational transformation initiatives related to AI tools, adoption and impacts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on talent development focused on the AI training and learning initiative at WD, providing strategic insights and recommendations to drive business performance
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify critical capability gaps and develop learning roadmap for AI literacy, that supports long-term business objectives
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Development, Adult Learning principles, or related strategic field
  • Proven track record of partnering with C-suite and senior business leaders on strategic initiatives related to AI tools, adoption, and impacts of AI.
  • Demonstrated experience translating business strategy into learning solutions with measurable impact
  • Strong business acumen with ability to understand market dynamics, competitive landscape, and organizational strategy
  • Executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders across the organization
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and drive organizational change
  • Mastery of adult learning principles, instructional design, and performance improvement methodologies
  • Ability to define learning measurement strategy and make changes based on the data
  • Proficiency with AI-powered content creation tools, learning authoring platforms (e.g., Articulate 360, Mindsmith), and emerging AI learning technologies 
  • Experience leveraging artificial intelligence for content development, personalization, and learning optimization 
  • Proficiency with advanced learning technologies, LMS platforms, and learning analytics tools
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in talent development and organizational learning

Salary Range: 129,600.00-172,800.00

  • An employee's pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.  This range may be modified in the future.
  • If your position is non-exempt, you are eligible for overtime pay pursuant to company policy and applicable laws.  You may also be eligible for shift differential pay, depending on the shift to which you are assigned.
  • You will be eligible to be considered for bonuses under either WD's Short Term Incentive Plan ("STI Plan") or the Sales Incentive Plan ("SIP") which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance, depending on your role and your performance. You may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to WD's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
