Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Be a visible lean leader for our Engineered Building Solutions (EBS) business by championing the application of nVent lean manufacturing and business processes, tools and methodologies across the business.
  • Shape the future of lean by defining, developing and deploying long-term strategies that drive best-in-class lean systems and improvement practices across our sites.
  • Lead and mentor site lean practitioners across the business unit including training improvement teams in lean transformation philosophy, approach, activity and tools.
  • Serve as a SME on lean related topics for the business unit.
  • Be a change agent and drive meaningful transformation by leading data driven projects and kaizen events across the business unit.
  • Own and elevate lean metrics and dashboards, helping define meaningful KPIs, introduce future focused metrics, and establish clear operation definitions that enable accurate, consistent reporting across the organization.
YOU HAVE:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or related field.
  • Ideally 12+ years business process or manufacturing continuous improvement experience in a lean environment.
  • Experience in an engineered to order environment is a plus.
  • Demonstrated skills in implementing, instructing and deploying Lean Methodologies in Manufacturing, Distribution and Transactional applications; six sigma certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods, with the flexibility to adapt and support new processes in a dynamic business environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence all levels in the organization in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel 35% of the time on average and work out of our Houston TX, Madison WI, or Oshkosh WI locations.
