Job description

  • Perform on highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and
    the plant facility's equipment
  • Perform on emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during
    production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
    during machine service
  • Perform mechanics duties and responsibilities
  • Perform electrician duties and responsibilities
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic and
    hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  • Perform electrical skills including, but not limited to, basic electrical troubleshooting,
    uploading PLC programs, saving PLC programs, changing PLC programs as needed,
  • To successfully perform the essential functions of this role it requires the ability to: stand occasionally, walk frequently, frequent use of hands (reach with hands and arms), view computer monitor, use telephone, speak and listen frequently. The role requires occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • programming VFD’s, programming drives, running conduit and power to new
    equipment, replacing electrical hardware
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required
    maintenance and service
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC programs
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, replace or repair parts, test and make
    adjustments
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant
    facilities
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry function
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing
    duties
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual
    situations to proper supervision
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed which will include operating
    production equipment, stacking, and inventory control
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • 5 + years manufacturing experience preferably in a paper converting/corrugated
    environment
  • Knowledge of basic tools, power tools, electrical meters, pneumatic blue print
    reading, hydraulic blue print reading, and electrical schematic reading
  • Knowledge of basic pneumatic & hydraulic blue print reading and electrical schematic
    reading
  • Knowledge in the following programs: Lenz Global, RS logic 5,500 and 5,000,
    Workshop 505, Siemens Step 7
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, detail orientated and self-motivated individual (proactive attitude)
