Job description

We are looking for an energetic, hardworking and professional person to fill our Leak Detection Technician position. This is a fast-paced position and we are looking for someone who is searching for long term employment. We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and in a group setting. We have created a close-knit family with all our employees and are looking for someone who will fit in with us! If you want to be part of our team, please read the job description posted below. Summary: The mission of American Leak Detection is to find leaks in a manner that is non-evasive, efficient, and environmentally sound. We will give prompt, professional, and courteous service to all customers, while providing the best leak detection services in the world.

This is a service position, meaning you are always serving an internal or external customer. The technician out in the field sets a long-lasting impression on the customers and plays a large role in client retention.

Leak Detection Technician Job Functions Include:  Previous plumbing/repair experience preferred but not required. Military Veterans are welcomed. Arriving onsite in a timely manner, greeting customers in a friendly tone, and keeping customers in-the-know on the status of detections/repairs. Operating various types of leak detection equipment, locating leakages, providing repair estimates, and sending daily reports into the office for final analysis and review. Leak detections and repairs are completed at residential and commercial properties. Advanced training includes mastering underground line tracking, video, ultrasonic, and infrared technologies. As well as, repairing indoor and outdoor leakages.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements for all positions include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Language Skills: Applicant must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals with appropriate grammar, punctuation, and spelling: and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, other employees, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Customer Service Skills: Your voice tone should be friendly, confident, and reassuring. Honesty in communication is required.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information relayed is essential.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills and proficient in business vocabulary to effectively represent the company.
  • Manage multiple tasks and handle high stress situations.
