Who You Will Work With:

The vacant Leader, Business Developmentrolewillreport to the Head, Business Development. This role leads Interac's expansion beyond its core financial institution partnerships - building and running the sales motion that brings Interac Verified and related products to enterprise commercial and government customers. You will lead a team of Business Development professionals and be accountable for new logo growth, ARR expansion and end-to-end go-to-market execution for this segment.

What YouWillDo:

  • Build and run a repeatable sales motion: pipeline generation, opportunity qualification, deal structuring, and close - focused on net-new enterprise and government accounts.

  • Own ARR and LTV targets for the commercial and public sector segment; hold the team accountable to the same.

  • Develop strategic account plans for priority targets - mapping stakeholders, value drivers, and growth pathways.

  • Drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the Interac product suite (Interac Verified, eTransfer solutions, Konek, and new product launches).

  • Support exceptional customer relationships and client experiences by building and and maintaining executive-level relationships with clients and ensuring the team delivers to a high standard for Client Satisfaction "CSAT" (with defined CSAT goals).

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Solutions Engineering to develop commercialization strategies and support new product go-to-market launches.

  • Coach and develop a high-performing BD team - running pipeline reviews, deal strategy sessions, and performance management with rigor.

  • Upskill the team across the full sales competency stack: collaborative pipeline generation, consultative and solution-based selling, closing tactics, MEDDPICC adoption, and positioning as a Trusted Advisor to clients.

WhatYou Bring:

  • Proven track record leading a B2B or SaaS sales team - meeting and exceeding ARR targets in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

  • Experience selling into enterprise commercial and/or government accounts in Canada; you understand how procurement, legal, and executive buying cycles work.

  • Strong command of solution and value selling - you can connect a client's operational problem to a commercial outcome, and coach your team to do the same.

  • Hands-on deal experience: business case development, pricing negotiation, contract structuring.

  • A player-coach instinct - you're as comfortable in front of a C-suite client as you are reviewing a rep's pipeline.
