Job description

About Piedmont Door Solutions

Since 2001, Piedmont Door Solutions has been the #1 choice for commercial door and entrance solutions across the Southeast, Southwest, and Mid-Atlantic. With 10 locations, we specialize in the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of automatic doors, manual doors, and security solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional customers - from hospitals and schools to property management and general contractors.

We understand that an entrance is more than a doorway. It's the first and last impression of a facility, which is why we hold ourselves to an unmatched standard of service, attention to detail, and customized solutions for every customer we serve.

The Role

Piedmont Door Solutions is looking for a Business Development Representative to grow the South Carolina market. This is a field-based, business development role with emphasis on prospecting and building commercial relationships across the territory with the full support of the Columbia, SC operations teams. You'd be joining at an exciting inflection point for the business: 6 consecutive record-breaking quarters, a growing national sales team, and a Florida market that's poised for growth. If you thrive in a hunter environment and want real ownership over growth strategy in a developing market, this is worth a conversation

In this role you will…

  • Own the full sales cycle across the South Carolina territory from cold outreach and prospecting to proposal delivery and close
  • Build and grow a pipeline of net-new commercial accounts across key verticals including healthcare, property management, general contractors, and glazers
  • Develop lasting relationships with facilities managers, GCs, architects, and property owners as their trusted pedestrian access solutions partner
  • Collaborate closely with branch operations and service teams to ensure seamless project delivery and a customer experience that earns repeat business
  • Maintain accurate pipeline records and participate in regular sales reviews with branch leadership

You've got what it takes if you have…

  • 5–7 years of outside sales or business development experience in commercial B2B identifying and closing on new opportunities
  • Background in commercial doors, access control, glazing/Division 8, building materials, HVAC, or adjacent construction/facilities sectors
  • The ability to work independently in a field-based role and manage a large territory without being managed
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage decision-makers at any level
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Performance based incentives and sales commissions
  • Medical, dental, and vision
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Vehicle allowance
