Job description

At Maverik, we don't just offer jobs, we offer adventures. 

As a Learning Experience Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience designing and developing learning solutions that help Team Members succeed across Maverik. You'll work alongside our Learning Experience team to create engaging training for both our corporate and retail teams while learning industry-standard instructional design tools and best practices. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact learning projects from concept to completion while collaborating with subject matter experts across the business.

Location: Hybrid Office, Salt Lake City, UT – Headquarters

Pay: $15.00/hour for Bachelor's Program, $21.00/hour for Master's Program

Hours: 30–40 hours/week

Dates of Internship: September – December 2026

Key Projects You'll Support:
  • Design and develop online training for Maverik's ServiceNow release.
  • Create engaging onboarding training for new Maverik Team Members.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to gather content, review learning materials, and ensure training is accurate and effective.
  • Help create learning experiences that support both Base Camp and Retail Team Members.
  • Present project outcomes and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship.
Additional Hands-On Exposure:
  • Learn Maverik's instructional design process from project kickoff through final delivery.
  • Participate in project scoping, content collection, and stakeholder review meetings.
  • Gain experience creating learning content in multiple formats.
  • Work alongside experienced instructional designers on real business initiatives.
  • Build practical skills using industry-leading learning development tools and technologies.

Qualifications:
  • Preference will be given to applicants who reside in Utah, as this is an on-site opportunity based at our headquarters.
  • A full-time college student who has completed their sophomore year by the start of the internship.
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university pursuing a degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Communications, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience with Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred but not required.
