Essential Functions
The individual must behave consistently with CarolinaPower's Mission and Vision and focus on safety, company policies and procedures, procedures and guidelines. Gain knowledge of all aspects of Electrical Installation field operations including but not limited to worksite safety, materials and equipment nomenclature, installation processes, equipment operations, and blueprint reading. This position requires a decisive leader with a passion for hands-on work in outdoor environments and a strong drive for construction project management work. The Intern will be responsible for completing special projects as directed by the branch manager. Projects may include standard field experience, business market research, assisting with the development of project documentation software, and developing Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards & forms.
Qualifications
This position requires a willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact effectively with CarolinaPower employees, customers and vendors. Must be a quick learner and consistently display a positive attitude and willingness to assume a variety of training opportunities within the company. Must have a desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately. This position requires a valid driver's license.

- Pursing Bachelor's Degree
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity - both are non-negotiable
- Strong desire to learn and to be a contributing team member
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products and the web
- Strong desire to be part of a dynamic and Servant Leadership based company
Required Skills and Physical Requirements
- Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves moderate manual labor in outdoor environments
- Ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs and bend, stoop, squat, sit and maneuver in confined spaces
- Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose him/her to silica dust or other hazmat
- Ability to maintain workloads that may include interstate and intrastate travel and daily timeframes that could exceed typical business hours
