License and Certification Qualifications:
- Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator's Certificate in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission Required

- Specialist's Degree in related field Required
Experience Qualifications:
- 5 years of successful school leadership experience Required
Skills Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of effective practices in curriculum, instruction, and child development
- Ability to model the QPLA Leadership Behavior and Skills identified by research as having a significant correlation with student achievement
- Ability to work effectively with school and district leadership staff and other education colleagues
- Ability to model high degree of skills in oral and written communication
- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relations
- Demonstrated skills in organization and problem solving
- Ability to analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for working primarily with new school principals and assistant principals to provide leadership and support by emphasizing best practices and quality concepts for leading and implementing a cohesive educational program.
- Provide school leaders with opportunities for personal and professional growth, using research based coaching tools and strategies.
- Provide school leaders with a leadership coach who has consistently demonstrated the characteristics of a Quality-Plus leader.
- Provide school leaders practice and opportunities to analyze interpersonal, management, and leadership skills aligned to the QPLA Behavior and Skills.
- Provide school leaders with encouragement, direction, and clarification on management and leadership issues to support academic achievement, school and community engagement.
- Provide school leaders with a supportive, non-evaluative relationship with assigned coach.
- Assist with the use of established criteria to measure the effectiveness of the coaching program and its impact on leadership development.
- Engage in the development and study of professional practice and demonstrate effective coaching skills and practices that lead to positive impact on professional growth of leaders.
