Retail Associate - Big Chill Beach Club

Job Description

Summary of Position: A Retail Associate is an expert in providing customer service to all guests visiting the Big Chill Beach Club Welcome Center. A Retail Associate will oversee the Beach Club Retail Shack as well as the Welcome Center, and will help assist customers as they shop, demonstrating thorough product knowledge and passion for our lifestyle brand. Must Enjoy the Ride! *We offer both part-time and full-time hours. This position starts at $13/hour plus tips.

Duties amp; Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and engage with guests amp; customers as they enter the Welcome Center/Retail Area
  • Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, sharing product knowledge, and providing outstanding customer service
  • Maintain retail area and ensure shelves are stocked and area is kept clean amp; tidy
  • Process payments by totaling purchases and processing cash, and credit/debit card payments
  • Alert management of potential security issues
  • Stock new merchandise
  • Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters
  • Live the brand and be a brand ambassador; make decisions in the best interest of the company every time
  • Be a team player; help out fellow employees when possible

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 14 years of age
  • No previous restaurant/hospitality experience required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Basic math skills and the ability to operate a cash register
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic demeanor with a passion for hospitality
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility of schedule to assume responsibilities as needed
