Job description

A Team Leader is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant's heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, have strong character, take initiative and work with a sense of urgency at all times. Our Team Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A Team Leader's two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Team Leaders lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

Team Leader Responsibilities:

  • Inspire Team Members to set and reach goals through personal coaching
  • Create and role model positive energy
  • Communicate in an effective manner in order to achieve positive outcomes
  • Ensure that Team Members follow recipes and fulfill customer orders accurately
  • Maintain a 'best in class' speed of service without sacrificing quality
  • Prioritize cleanliness and organization inside and outside of the store at all times
  • Oversee cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and adherence to policy
  • Respond to guest concerns that may arise, and consult senior leadership regarding complex issues
  • Address policy/procedure violations with employees, and report to senior leadership as needed
  • Strictly adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant
  • Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
  • Be a friendly, encouraging team player
  • Open and/or close, lead shifts
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience serving customers in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a coaching emphasis
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong and consistent work ethic whether in a team or independent environment
  • Contributes solutions and takes initiative to address business challenges
  • Maintains optimism, integrity, and patience as you lead through adversity
  • Professional demeanor, communication skills, and commitment to excellence
  • Use of correct grammar in written and verbal communications, along with strong math skills
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs: MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Believes in and exemplifies servant-leadership
  • Must be available a variety of weekdays and weekends
  • Prior experience in leadership isn't required, but preferred
