We are seeking a Lead Engineer - Manufacturing Integration & Release Testing to drive vehicle-side integration, manufacturing software deployment, and production validation activities for next-generation Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) platforms. This role combines manufacturing integration, release engineering, automated testing, and vehicle validation to ensure production-ready software and hardware releases across factory environments. The engineer will lead end-to-end workflows spanning ECU flashing, factory software provisioning, manufacturing release qualification, EOL testing, and vehicle-level validation. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in automotive integration, manufacturing systems, embedded software validation, and automation within fast-paced engineering environments.

  • Lead integration of vehicle software and ECU systems into manufacturing and production environments.
  • Develop scalable workflows for ECU flashing, calibration deployment, secure software installation, VIN-based configuration, factory diagnostics
  • Support integration across body ECUs, gateway systems, infotainment, ADAS/Autonomy modules, connectivity systems
  • Develop and execute automated test strategies for manufacturing software releases, ECU firmware validation, factory release readiness, vehicle configuration verification, production regression testing, flash and rollback testing
  • Build automated release gates ensuring software quality before deployment into production lines.
  • Validate compatibility between vehicle software versions, manufacturing tooling, diagnostics, and plant infrastructure.
  • Develop automation for ECU communication validation, network integrity checks, vehicle health diagnostics, firmware integrity validation
  • Validation responsible for network topology, gateway routing strategies, signal database integrity (DBC, ARXML), bandwidth utilization and bus loading
  • Validate and manage vehicle communication across CAN / CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet (100/1000BASE-T1), FlexRay network framework
  • Validate and release bootloader compatibility, flashing strategy, partitioning strategy (AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive), Memory and CPU utilization budgets
  • Coordinate integration across Powertrain / Electrification (BMS, inverter, charging), Body & Comfort, ADAS / AD compute platforms, Infotainment & Connectivity, Central Compute / Zonal Controllers
  • Ensure feature-level integration synchronization, power mode management, Wake-up/sleep strategy robustness.
  • Own system-level regression test planning, drive root cause analysis of cross-domain issues and help support integration war-room activities during DV/PV builds.

  • Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU-level software stacks, automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet), UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229) and diagnostic communication tools
  • Expert knowledge of Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory. ALM/PLM Proficiency in Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill.
  • Strong understanding, development and verification of plant and control models in MATLAB/Simulink for execution in hardware in the loop test environment, dSpace control desk and automation desk
  • Strong understanding of 1st principles in Engineering, result/solution oriented.
  • Familiarity with SW for embedded systems, EE systems and architecture
  • Familiarity with A2B, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, LVDS communication protocols and Vehicle Network tools, such as CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.'
  • Expertise with complex problem solving, data analysis, access/interpret/drive results with extended teams.
  • Knowledge of Automotive design and development process, system requirements, and general engineering best practices

Pay Transparency

Initial base salary range = $160,000.00 - $192,500.00
