Job Description

Web Designer: Under general direction, designs and builds web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools. Designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements. Contributes to the design group's efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization's online offerings. Designs the website to support the organization's strategies and goals relative to external communications. Requires understanding of web-based technologies and thorough knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or other design-related applications.

Qualifications

The Web Designer will be responsible for creating engaging designs (emails, landing pages, web banners, and print pieces) in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other applications.  The ideal candidate for this position must be able to handle tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at any given time.

  • 3-5 years of web design experience
  • Good understanding of web best practices and standards
  • Familiarity with the creative and web production workflows
  • Basic understanding of SEO and User Experience (UX) best practices
  • Great command of Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with other designers, developers, & copywriters
  • Ability to self-manage and keep track of multiple projects
