Welcome to Love's! Our Indirect Tax team is recruiting a Senior Indirect Tax Research Analyst to concentrate on tax research, planning, and strategic compliance management, providing essential support to leadership in decision-making.
Job Functions:
  • Lead the preparation and filing of complex multi-state indirect tax returns.
  • Conduct in-depth reconciliations and investigate tax discrepancies.
  • Serve as a technical expert on indirect tax matters.
  • Provide transactional tax planning to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Monitor and communicate legislative changes impacting tax compliance.
  • Lead tax research initiatives and maintain internal tax guides.
  • Oversee audits and manage relationships with tax authorities.
  • Develop and implement tax process improvements and automation strategies.
  • Partner with leadership to support business growth and expansion initiatives.
  • Mentor and train tax analysts at all levels.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
  • CPA, JD, CMI, MBA a plus.
  • 3+ years of related experience.

Skills:
  • Hard Skills: Deep expertise in tax regulations and compliance strategies; Expertise in tax compliance software (Avalara, Vertex, SRA, SAP).
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership and ability to influence decision-making; Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

Typical Physical Demands:
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
