Job description

Job Title- Sitecore XM Cloud Certified Architect

Project Location – 1x per month (3-4 days) to a PS or client office (likely in NYC, Boston, Chicago, or St. Louis)

Duration- 6+ months contract

Visa- USC/ GC/ GCEAD/ TN

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Sitecore XM Cloud
  • Sitecore migration experience
  • Active Sitecore XM Cloud certification (e.g., Sitecore XM Cloud Developer Certification or equivalent architect-level credential).

We are seeking a contractor Sitecore XM Cloud Certified Architect, with a strong emphasis on XP to XM Cloud migration experience:

 Required Qualifications

  • Active Sitecore XM Cloud certification (e.g., Sitecore XM Cloud Developer Certification or equivalent architect-level credential).
  • Proven experience successfully completing at least 2+ Sitecore XP to XM Cloud migrations (including handling legacy MVC/SXA implementations, custom modules removal, frontend modernization, and hybrid/big-bang approaches).
  • Deep expertise in Sitecore XM Cloud architecture, headless CMS patterns, Experience Edge, and composable DXP ecosystem.
  • Strong knowledge of modern frontend technologies (React, Next.js, JSS) and integration with Sitecore APIs.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native principles, CI/CD pipelines, and Sitecore SaaS deployment models.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with Sitecore Personalize, CDP, Search, or other composable products.
  • Familiarity with migration accelerators/tools (e.g., component converters for SXA/Scriban to React).
  • Experience leading migration workshops, audits, and go-live strategies.


Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sitecore XM Cloud Certified Architect to lead and execute the migration from Sitecore Experience Platform (XP) to Sitecore XM Cloud for our digital experience platform. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in architecting composable, cloud-native Sitecore solutions and hands-on success delivering XP ? XM Cloud migrations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture and migration strategy from Sitecore XP (on-premise or PaaS) to Sitecore XM Cloud, including assessment, planning, and execution.
  • Design scalable, headless/composable architectures leveraging XM Cloud features such as Experience Edge, SaaS hosting, visual page editing, and integrated personalization/search capabilities.
  • Perform technical audits of existing XP implementations (MVC, SXA, custom modules) to identify migration paths, custom code refactoring needs, and component conversion (e.g., Scriban/SXA to React/Next.js or JSS).
  • Guide the team on best practices for headless development, Next.js/React integration, Sitecore APIs, and composable DXP patterns (XM Cloud + CDP/Personalize/Search where applicable).
  • Ensure high-performance, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with business requirements and Sitecore best practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams, stakeholders, and content authors to define migration scope, minimize downtime, and validate post-migration functionality.
  • Provide technical leadership, estimates, roadmaps, and documentation throughout the engagement.
