Job Title: Lead Radiologic Technologist

Location: New Brunswick, NJ

Department: Diagnostic Radiology

Status: Full-Time

Shift: Night

Compensation: $50.93 - $61.65 per hour

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to produce specialized images of specific body parts for medical evaluation and interpretation.

Qualifications
  • Required:
    • ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology
    • New Jersey radiology license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Preferred:
    • At least two (2) years of experience as a radiology technician
Key Responsibilities
  • Generate radiographic images or position fluoroscopic equipment as directed.
  • Minimize radiation exposure to patients.
  • Ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.
  • Select and prepare contrast media for radiographic and special examinations.
  • Process radiographic images for PACS integration.
  • Verify patient identity and ensure correct body part is indicated on all images.
  • Handle x-ray requests efficiently.
  • Assist in training student technologists.
  • Demonstrate technical skills to student radiographers.
