Position Overview:

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Radiologic Technologist to fill an opening at a hospital located inย Athens, GA. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations on patients of all ages, including portables in the ER, ICU, and patient rooms.
  • Position patients correctly and select appropriate technical factors (kVp, mAs) to produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Follow ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles, using lead shielding, collimation, and appropriate protective devices for patients and staff.
  • Verify physician orders, patient identification, and pregnancy status prior to any exposure.
  • Process and review images for diagnostic quality, ensuring proper labeling, annotation, and technique before transmission to PACS for radiologist interpretation.
  • Maintain and operate imaging equipment safely, reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
  • Assist radiologists with fluoroscopic procedures (e.g., upper GI, barium enemas, arthrograms) by preparing contrast media and positioning patients.
  • Accurately document all examinations in the EMR/RIS (Radiology Information System), including exposure indicators and patient history.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper stocking of supplies and infection control protocols.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education:ย Completion of an accredited Radiology program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology).
  • Licensure:ย Active GA state license (LRT) and current BLS Certification. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification is required.
  • Experience:ย At least one year of relevant field experience as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
