From the operating room to surgery centers-and everywhere in between-KARL STORZ North America is a global leader in medical technology and advanced visualization solutions. We design specialty innovations, smart instruments and devices, integrated ecosystems, and intelligent imaging-to build a more connected, software-enabled operating room.

As an independent, family-owned MedTech company, we ambitiously think in generations instead of quarters to improve patients' lives around the world.

About the Role

The Demand and New Products Planning Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring our organization has the right inventory, at the right time, to support customer needs and business growth. In this role, you will partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, Supply Planning, and Global Demand Planning teams to develop accurate demand forecasts, support new product launches, and drive continuous improvement within our planning processes.

You will lead planning activities for Veterinary, Canada, Samples, and Rentals while supporting key S&OP and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to influence inventory strategy, supply readiness, new product introductions, and cross-functional decision-making across the business.

This role follows a hybrid work schedule with 3 days remote and 2 days onsite in our Auburn, MA office. The compensation range for this role is between $73,600 - $95,600.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain item-level demand forecasts using historical sales data, business trends, market insights, and cross-functional input.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, and Supply Planning teams to drive forecast accuracy and support business objectives.
  • Lead monthly planning meetings for Veterinary, Canada, Samples, and Rentals to ensure accurate and actionable demand plans.
  • Support the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process through analysis, reporting, and forecasting activities.
  • Coordinate demand planning efforts for new product introductions, promotions, product transitions, and lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Analyze forecast performance, identify trends and exceptions, and perform root-cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop effective inventory sell-off strategies for products being replaced by new technologies, revisions, or product upgrades.
  • Communicate forecast assumptions, demand changes, and purchasing recommendations to internal stakeholders and supplier partners.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, purchasing, sales, marketing, or another Supply Chain-related function.
  • Strong understanding of demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, and Supply Chain principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify meaningful business insights.
  • Experience working with SAP and demand planning or forecasting systems; ForecastPro experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and process improvement.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and levels of the organization.

Nice to Have

  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or equivalent).
  • Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or medical device environment.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions and product lifecycle management activities.
  • Familiarity with Tableau, SAP IBP processes, or advanced demand planning tools.
  • Experience participating in S&OP and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Ability to translate complex demand data into actionable recommendations and business decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to forecast accuracy and data integrity.
  • Effective prioritization and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • Confidence leading cross-functional planning discussions and influencing stakeholders toward alignment.
  • A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, process optimization, and business impact.
  • Ability to balance analytical thinking with practical decision-making when managing inventory and forecasting challenges.

Why KARL STORZ?
