Job description

Essential Functions:
  • Works alongside janitorial team members and leads team in carrying out function in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Performs routine deep cleaning and maintenance on various surfaces to support a safe, clean, efficient, and operational working environment and facility.
  • Organizes, plans, and coordinates team activities to ensure deadlines are met with little to no disruption to the business.
  • Coordinates with Janitorial management and staff to fulfill janitorial responsibilities to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Cleans and dusts all appropriate surface areas in break rooms and common areas as well as production areas throughout the Company, including but not limited to countertops, tables, desks, chairs, microwaves, refrigerators, and equipment.
  • Cleans all floors in stairwells, hallways, office areas, lab areas, and general work areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming.
  • Cleans exterior common areas around the Company facilities such as but not limited to building entrances, outside sitting areas, and patio areas, as necessary.
  • Performs general grounds-keeping duties such as but not limited to watering plants, sweeping/raking leaves, and removal of dead foliage from planter areas as necessary.
  • Utilizes various cleaning machinery to complete specific or designated assignments.
  • Trains team members on proper usage of machinery, products, solutions, and chemicals. Ensures and adheres to safe and proper usage of supplies and equipment through employee training.
  • Trains team members on all current and newly established processes. Provides guidance to team members on inquiries, procedures, process, and clarification.
  • Reports any potential safety concerns or repairs to management and appropriate facilities team.
  • Restocks supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas as necessary.
  • Coordinates and orders for supplies and equipment in a timely manner to avoid disruption toe the workflow.
  • Maintains and ensures a clean, organized, and safe storage spaces and closets.
  • Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor while working in locations with a high volume of employees and in areas that require frequent contact with employee population and general public.
  • Assists hard-surface floor services; may help with or utilize power equipment, as necessary.
  • Assists with setting up and breaking down meetings and special events as necessary.
  • Assists Janitorial management in implementing schedules and prioritizing tasks to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintains open communication with management and informs Janitorial management of any complaints or concerns, and/or any company equipment that may need repair and/or replacement.
  • Provides coverage and assistance for team members and at various facilities when the need arises.
  • Responds to last-minute request or emergency calls.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in the field or related area.
  • Previous leadership experience, a plus.
Pay Range: $19.50/hr -$21.50/hr
