Lead/Float Caregiver Summary

Our Lead/Float Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branches service areas.

8am-6pm within M-F, you pick the days you are available. be able to float between our Gresham and PDXE branches

20-30hrs a week, sometimes up to 40.

Pay: $23.50/hr

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

  • Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
  • Cooking and/or serving meals
  • Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
  • Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
  • Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car required
  • Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
  • Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

  • Our hiring process is fast and simple! Apply and the recruiter in your region will connect with you to schedule a phone interview. If hired, you will be scheduled for orientation at your branch. Once you have completed onboarding, orientation, and training, you can start working with clients!
  • Oregon only If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to pass a state and national background check
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance and clean driving record
  • Able to transport clients in your vehicle required
  • Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license
  • One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs
  • Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
  • Smart phone with ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
  • WA Only Current valid CEs if you are an HCA
  • Able to work on short notice
