The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a CMM Programmer to join our team.
The CMM Programmer is responsible for all programming, program validation (tape-proof), conventional inspection duties and responsibilities associated with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) as assigned. Will support, back-up and mentor other CMM Programmers and team members as necessary.
Additionally, the CMM Programer will:
  1. Programs CMM (SIP, LK, Etc.) inspection machines. Must be capable of creating and validating launch pad capable programs for production TMIs.
  2. Creates and validates CMM programs, performs inspection and provides documentation for development and first run production tape proofs.
  3. Creates and validates CMM programs for all First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements.
  4. Prepares FAI packages which include all required documentation, inspection data, and updates inspection data base as required.
  5. Performs final inspections using a variety of inspection gaging as required.
  6. Mentors others in the set-up and operation of CMM machines.
  7. Familiar with conventional dimensioning and tolerancing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASMEY14.5.

Qualifications
High School or GED, two or more years of technical education or equivalent plus a minimum of five years of directly related experience required. Effective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of management is a must. Reads, understands and correctly interprets complex blueprint, quality and process specification requirements.
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
    (Note - must use a lift assist or assistance from other individual(s) when lifting in excess of 50 lbs.)
  • Must be capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.
  • Must have grip strength of at least 50 lbs.
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
