Responsibilities
  • Project manager for design of water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Overseeing the preparation of design plans and specifications for grading, utility, and erosion control

  • Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of mid-to-high level complexity

  • Responsible for budget, schedule and quality standards

  • Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments

  • Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the civil engineering field

  • Assists in proposal preparation and interviews and may be included in contract negotiations with clients after selection

  • Develops relationships with existing clients and has responsibility maintaining client at staff level on existing projects

  • Works closely with subconsultants on projects

  • Active in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventions

  • Supporting the development of staff level civil design team

  • Travel required when requested

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • 10-15 years of civil of directly-relevant experience in civil engineering associated with water and wastewater projects

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer

  • Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards

  • Experience designing conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team

  • Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints

  • Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects

  • Proficient in Bluebeam

  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering
Compensation Range

$125,000 to $160,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
