  • Compensation will be in accordance with Schedule C of the Teacher Master Agreement

Albert Lea Area Schools is seeking a motivated and energetic 9A Boys Soccer Coach to support the development of student-athletes in our high school soccer program. This role focuses on foundational skill-building, team culture, and preparing athletes for upper-level competition in alignment with the overall program philosophy.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Plan and conduct practices that emphasize technical skills, conditioning, and game understanding.
  • Create a positive and inclusive team environment focused on sportsmanship, effort, and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with the JV and Varsity coaching staff to ensure program-wide consistency in player development and team culture.
  • Supervise players during practices, games, and team travel (if applicable).
  • Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, and school personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Previous soccer coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to mentor and support student-athletes both athletically and academically.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must meet all MSHSL and district coaching requirements.
