Job description

Shop Foreman – 2nd Shift

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Foreman for the 2nd shift (4:00pm to 12:30pm) to oversee daily operations in our fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of skilled workers, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of fabrication processes.

Monthly shop incentive pay is included with this position.

Critical Job Functions

  • Supervise all shift employees in the areas of fabrication, assembly, and shipping.
  • Assure that safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Personally layout and fabricate jobs (working foreman position)
  • Follow job schedule provided by the Plant Manager.
  • Assist fabricators with layout and fabrication of jobs.

Other Job Duties

  • Assist fabricators in the correct set-up and operation of equipment.
  • Perform equipment maintenance as directed by Plant Manager.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience in a shop environment.
  • Must have seven or more years of relevant experience in the metal fabricating industry, including the safe operation of punch presses, press brakes, and other fabricating equipment.
  • Demonstrated expert ability with light gage Mig welding. (A practical welding test will be administered)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety and operation issues related to metal fabricating industry.

Demonstrated experience with blueprint reading. (A practical test will be administered)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
