Your future role on our team

Your role as an intermediate mechanical layout designerwill consist of preparing 3D models, drawings and other technical documents formining projects. You'll also provide quality service and maintain positiverelationships with colleagues and clients by contributing to projects in themechanical engineering discipline. As part of a growing office, we're lookingfor someone to work within the Mechanical Engineering team to help deliver fast-pacedprojects, help grow the team and advance their career with BBA.

With us, you'll get the opportunity to...

  • Lead mine plant layout design and perform calculations for highly complex studies and detailed design projects, shaping how client mines are built
  • Design and detail mechanical layouts, tanks, sheet-metal work and chute work across the mining industry using 3D CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, Smart 3D, CADWorx and AutoCAD
  • Tackle complex technical challenges, including clash detection, point-cloud modelling, PFD and P&ID interpretation and vendor coordination to bring designs from concept to construction
  • Mentor and train junior designers and EITs, strengthening your leadership skills while helping develop the next generation of mining professionals
  • Take ownership of project coordination, drafting management, schedules and budgets, with a direct impact on project execution and success
  • Gain hands-on experience with clients and site operations through design reviews, field inspections and quality assessments, while working on multiple fast-paced projects at once
