Licensed Lawn Care Spray Technician (IL) - 4-Day Work Week
$20-$27/hour + $2,000 Signing Bonus (based on experience and license status)

Element Turf & Outdoor Solutions is a fast-growing, locally owned lawn care company serving residential and commercial customers. We're hiring an experiencedIllinois-licensed spray technician who can run a route, communicate professionally with customers, and deliver high-quality turf results.

Schedule

  • Typical in-season hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-5:30pm
  • Some overtime may be required during peak season (weather-dependent)

What you'll do

  • Apply fertilizer, weed control, and pesticide treatments safely and efficiently
  • Run a daily route independently (with team support) while meeting quality standards
  • Communicate clearly with customers about services, expectations, and results (in person, phone, and written notes)
  • Support service estimates and recommend needed turf services
  • Perform turf-related services as needed: aeration, overseeding, seeding, and other turf duties
  • Safely operate and maintain professional equipment and materials
  • Drive company vehicles safely (truck/trailer and/or box truck as assigned)
  • Complete required documentation accurately (service notes, product use, safety protocols)

Must-have requirements

  • Illinois Pesticide Applicator License - required
  • Valid driver's license + clean driving record - required
  • Able to read/write and communicate in English (service notes + customer communication)
  • Reliable transportation to/from the shop
  • Ability to work outdoors in heat/cold and lift 50 lbs regularly

Preferred qualifications

  • 2+ years lawn spray / turf application experience
  • Customer-facing service experience and solid communication skills
  • Comfort working independently and staying organized on a route

Signing bonus

  • $2,000 based on experience, performance, and attendance
