Description
Responsible for laundering customers' clothing, including but not limited to receiving, weighing, sorting, and loading into washing machines, transferring to dryers, and folding or ironing clothes as requested. Maintain cleanliness of hotel linen by washing, drying and folding guest room towels and bedding. Ensure cleanliness of guest laundry area and hotel laundry room. Handle cash from customers, make change with accuracy, balance till, and run minimal reports at breaks and end of shift.
This position would work primarily in the laundry, but would help with housekeeping as well, which includes being responsible for the routine cleaning of hotel rooms, including stripping and making beds, cleaning showers, sinks, and toilets, and vacuuming and dusting. Replenish guest room supplies, transport trash and waste to disposal area, and assist with hotel laundry.
  • Compensation: $17.25 - $18.25/hr + Comprehensive Benefits + Excellent Cash Incentives!

Requirements
  • Must be able to speak English.
  • Three-months professional laundry experience is desired; one-year professional laundry experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.
  • Knowledge of cleaning materials and proper handling is helpful.
  • Knowledge of Laundromat equipment and machines strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to operate cash register and count change to customers.
  • Must have outstanding customer service and communication skills, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
